2024 Orpheus Monarchs

Every year since its inception in 1993, Orpheus has had a Celebrity Monarch  reign over the Krewe of Orpheus.

The Captain's Galleon 

It made its debut in 2023, and was designed by Derek Franklin.

The "Captain's Galleon" carries our Captain and his guests.

"Music of the Spheres"

Our theme for 2024 comes from creations brought together from the mind of
Derek Franklin,Manuel Ponce and the Mardi Gras World Team.

Orpheuscapade

In 2024, we will celebrate our 31st anniversary with Monarchs Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka.

 

Joining our monarchs at the black-tie gala as our musical headliner, is international singing star Taylor Dayne

Also... sharing the Orpheuscapade stage for the eight-hour live music and dance spectacular will be Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, 12 South, and The Mixed Nuts.

FAQ

1. When is the Orpheus Parade?
        The Krewe of Orpheus Parade will roll through the streets of New Orleans on  March 3rd, 2025 beginning at 6:00pm.

2. How can I ride in the parade?

         Only members of the Krewe are allowed to ride in the parade.

3. Can anybody join the Krewe of Orpheus?

           All men and women of good character are welcome to apply for membership.

4. How do you become a member of the Krewe of Orpheus?
         Please contact our office at (504) 822-7200.

5. Are there activities besides the parade for Krewe Members?

        We have several social events throughout the year including Open House and the Captain’s Party.

6. Can I go to the Orpheuscapade if I’m not a member?
